EXTENSION CASE STUDY

We engaged Aztech to build a two-storey side extension to our existing three-bedroom semi-detached property in February 2012.  Aztech were highly recommended to us by a work colleague.  From the very first meeting, we were impressed with Simon’s professionalism, knowledge and experience, and in particular his client care approach to our project.   We have not been asked to write this letter, but feel compelled to as we are so thankful that Aztech took charge of our build given the daunting task that it is to select a building company with the right combination of skill, expertise and professionalism, together with a client-focused attitude to cost efficiency.

Aztech promised to take control of our project and that is exactly what they did.  The estimated four-month build time-scale was met to the week (1 May – 31 August including delays due to poor weather), the initial build quote remained true throughout, and every single aspect of all of the work done from the demolition of the garage to the final white-misting of the new plaster was carried out by all of the Aztech team to an outstanding level of skill, care and conscientiousness – and with good humour.

As with every project of this nature, a couple of hiccoughs were encountered along the way, such as unforeseen diligent building inspectors requiring deeper foundations, and at every turn, Simon bore the brunt of each such instance, and we were kept informed with proposed solutions on every single one.  Simon’s calm approach to everything made all the difference.

We truly are delighted with our newly extended home which has been completed to a finish beyond anything we could ever have hoped for.  Aztech’s diligence is second to none, and the additional effort to get the finish correct is by far one of the company’s best strengths.  The extra time and energy Simon and his team spent to source matching bricks and roof tiles to ensure the new extension blends seamlessly with the existing has resulted in a fantastic looking house, rather than an old 30’s semi with a new bit attached to it.
